Write the Research Paper

Writing your research paper is the most important step in the research process. It involves synthesizing what you have read into a coherent and well argued paper.  You may find as you write that you do not have quite enough information for specific parts of your assignment, so you may need to go back and do a little more research. Be sure to give yourself enough time to do this.

Athabasca University's Write Site has been developed to assist students with academic writing. Write Site coaches can provide feedback to you on your papers, and their website has a range of writing related resources.  The Bibliography found at the end of this guide includes a list of print and online resources that can assist you in writing your paper.

Research Tip

As you write your paper, be sure to refer to the assignment guidelines found in your course. This will save you time by ensuring you follow the instructions provided.
